Restaurants, cafés and a casino are organised to form a new square in front of the existing cinema and theatre opposite. Apartments on the upper levels ensure that the area is still alive after closing hours and create the appropriate scale for the eastern gateway into the city centre.

 

This project won the Gemma Smid Architecture Prize in 2018.
