Three adjacent sites, bordered by the heavily trafficked Blackwall Lane to the east and three schools to the north and west, created very different contextual demands. The project was an opportunity to rebuild a fractured area of Greenwich as part of a wider urban renewal plan and to form a screen to the landscaped area to the east.

The new houses re-establish a residential terrace. The flats on Blackwall Lane sit above a new active edge of shops and other local facilities that look to the east and enjoy more private elevated gardens and terraces to the west.
