In 2018, DunnettCraven was commissioned by Meyer Bergman to develop a masterplan to refurbish all floors of the 220-year-old luxury department store Steen & Strøm and create a new entrance onto Karl Johansgate, the main pedestrian shopping street of Oslo.

With the new entrance and increased footfall, a new escalator core was introduced to bring customers more directly to the upper fashion floors, homeware and restaurants.

The ground floor beauty hall was successfully completed in spring 2021 with the new escalator core opening later in the autumn.
